when goin to superior longer arms, how much longer am i supposed to go to suit a 4-5 inch lift? and by lengthening these, do i have to do the uppers aswell? or can you get away with out doin these?

you can get away with just the lowers, or just the uppers. just the lowers is a better approach as it will help center the wheel in the arch

However the main point is to correct the pinion angle.

I've done it before and roughly calculated how much longer the arms need to be, basing it on the fact in a stock vehcle the lower arms are visually parallel to the ground. using pythag i worked out the arms only need to be about 5 or 7mm longer. (can't exactly remember) This was an 80 series btw.

So yeah they don't have to be tremendously longer.

just grab there long arm kit and bolt it to the standard mounts.
then simply use search to find what to do next

I think there asking about trying to put the wheel back into the centre of the wheel arch after a lift. So upto 16mm longer arms.
Not the Long Arm kit which uses control arms that are 300mm longer than std. Which require the new mounts for the front of the link (or cut off the old ones and reuse)/

yeah cheers turps, just ordered the 15mm longer ones. a lot more help than this badger wank off, thats just tryin to get me to buy massive long arms and not tell me how to put them in.
