Outer Limits 4x4 Board

hi i'm selling the discovery and are looking at buying a defender for a allrounder camping,touring and off roading was looking at a 06 to 09 110 is there any thing i need to look out for? And which is the best engine? Any info would be great?

06 is TD5 and 07- current are the ford puma 2.4 so completely different beasts, puma also has a 6spd box. Current model has a much improved interior and a proper dash. I have never driven one but from all accounts the puma has a similar power delivery to a TDI300 as opposed to the way the TD5 powers. Maybe go over to AULRO as there are people who have swapped from a TD5 to a Puma who can give you an honest appraisal of both.
