just wondering how people made their new support brackets for the brake line since the original was on the backing plate. Pics would be helpful

I now have rubber hose running from the axle directly to the caliper - makes getting the caliper out of the way (for hub service etc) much simpler.

Those off the shelf brake lines or you have some made up? Got the length of them?

I should do the same, whats the reason for removing the backing plate?

If you are still using the backing plates you can drill out the rivets holding the brake fitting onto it, silver solder some nuts on the back and put bolts back in to hold the fitting back in place.

Quote I sell these, $190/pair inc postage for braided DOT approved lines for the front of a hilux / landcruiser. Screw directly into the caliper.

Only pic I have on this PC are from my old truck with rubber lines

Zip tie to shock. It will keep it tight and out of the way.

no I just had them made at the brake place on coolstore rd, across from iceman. I had the luxury of dropping off the entire axle and having them do new steel lines +fittings at the same time.
