Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Hi guys, just thought i would find out here, i'm a nissan man, and have no idea about hilux surfs.

My mate just bought a 94 surf with a 3 litre in it and was wondering if they came out with lsd as standard, was think that being top end of the hiluxs it would have had one, it has only done 160,000kms is it just worn out, as i know toyo lsd are not as good as nissan ones.

I have not had a look at the diff yet to see if there is a tag on the diff but just thought i would throw the question out there.

on the firewall, there is a plate with the vehicle codes on it, chuck up the axle/trans code and ill see if i can find the crap that tells you about it...

If the diff code on the ID plate (firewall) ends in a 4 its a 4 pinion open centre and if a 5 it's a 4 pinion LSD.

I would want to physically see it tho as it could have been changed/re-geared.
