Hilux's are pretty cramped for room as far as fitting another full size battery in the bay, that would be a big ask, why aren't you interested in tray mounting?

Not saying that it can't be done, but mount it in the back under the tray, run a cable to the starter motor, upgrade your main battery to starter cable, and its done.

Can you move the compressor? Might be more dicking around but might be worth it. Compressors will fit a lot more places than a second battery.

Can it still be put under the tray? At the end of the day you can put your second battery wherever you like.
Just depends how much fart arseing around is involved, and how much time/money you want to spend, but you're the man with the tray, you tell us if it'll fit. Things to consider are:
* How will you mount it?
* Is it reasonably easy to access? (to change fuses, charge, remove, add accessories etc)
* How will you protect it from damage off road?
* Where are the accessories relative to the tray? (you wont want to run wires here there and everywhere if you can help it.
* Could you buy or fab up a steel box or something to protect it from abuse if it were in the tray?
