Powershift issues

Hey all,
As you all know the Nissan autos have a power shift function that can be triggered by a button on your shifter or automatically when the auto is put under load. Up until about a month ago I would very rarely see this light turn on automatically, I didn’t have a problem with it as I could control things manually via the switch.
Now, for some reason it has woken up & appears to be working properly. Quite useful around town as I can control things via the pedal & not the switch. On the highway while towing the camper it’s a pain in the ass. At the sniff of a hill the power shift light turns on & makes the auto kick down (repeatedly at times) when in the passed I could coast up the hill in overdrive, no problem. The engine doesn’t seem to be down on power & the auto is well used but behaving well in all other areas.
My question is, can this automatic powershift function be adjusted or disabled without affecting it's function via the switch??

It gets a reference from the TPS, have you changed anything in that area? You can lower the voltage some by rotating the TPS on its adjustment.

Thanks Joel,
It looks like it was a bad connection on my TPS. I unplugged it, checked the terminal (looked good) & plugged it back in. Power shift didn’t come on once today so fingers crossed. I’ve been told the Holden TPS tend to play up so it could be on its way out.
