lt 95 gearbox information
Hi i have a 76 two door rangie with a lt95 four speed box stuffed but have found a second hand one. Just wondering if i could pick a few brians as this is my first rangie, With the gearbox out on the ground and in gear with diff lock off if we turn the front shaft also turns the input shaft. But if i grab the rear shaft and turn it does not turn the input shaft was wondering if anyone knows if this is normal. But with diff lock on and turn the rear shaft it will turn the input shaft and the front shaft just worried dont want to put it in and find it is buggered.Any help with this problem would be great. Also how much input shaft play should there be side to side and up and down.
this is right the center diff is doing its job as for back lash it can be sort of fixed tho is not needed just put it in and drive it tho maby the best mod you could do while its out is fully reseal all joints with good gasket sealant and fit a steel impeller in the oil pump then it will out last the rangieDozoor wrote:Just sounds like the differential action , im thinking lock off ,
