Might be getting a Scat tray back cheap. Whats the common mods to do to one and is it true they have a hilux drivetrain? eg hilux diff ctrs and motor and box/t.case?
Dont know much at all about these but want to know more.

calling dat man
from what ive learnt
hang on easyer to quote
The F60 and F65's were the last of the shape the went from 82 to 84 after 84 they went to the rocky and feroza.
specs are:-
DL 2.8 diesel (same engine thats in the rockys)
5-speed gearbox
disk break front
other than that they were the same as the F50 whitch was a DG 2.5 diesel variant they went from 79 to 83
the toyota blizzard has a 2.2 turbo diesel 5-speed gearbox and disk break front. (unsure if they were offered in petrol)
The blizzard ranged from 81 to 84 and was sold with the daihatsu optional "delux" pack as standard.
The F series daihatsus (cause there not all known as scats) started in 77 with the F10 it had a whoping FE2 1ltr engine it was superseded in 79 by the F20 whitch boasted the 12R 1.6ltr engine and upgraded gearing, the F20s F50s and utes all started production at the same time.
There should be 2 aluminum plates popriveted to the floof near the passangers side seat you'll see them when you open the door you should be able to find the age on them.
Hope this is usefull

yeh thanx for that. Got a good mate doing the deal for me as he is a real good spinner. should almost get it for nothing. Depending on condition i might do the commy V6,auto and hilux t/case conversion. plent of power to turn some 33's.
What stud pattern do the wheels have? 6stud or 5 stud like the suzukis?

if you want to put the 3.8 into the rocky with a toyota auto then the comodore 3.8 will bolt straight up to the auto bellhousing from a 94 auto jackaroo/ rodeo but you will need to modify the torque converter (or just the feet so it will bolt up to the v6 flex plate) and then do the engine mounts and wiring and your all set to go but remember this only works on the automatic transmission as it is a slightly different pattern to the manual bellhousing i hope this helps others out there
this also works with any vehicle with an asin warner auto g/box as the 94 jackeroo/rodeo auto bellhousing will bolt to this g/box and these g/boxes are found in a variety of cars including toyota's so if you have a car with an asin warner auto then all you need is a bellhousing from a 94 jackaroo/rodeo and a slightly modified converter and your in buisiness without having to spend $$$$$$ for a marks addaptor
