How long is a piece of string?
It depends on what modifications have been done to it, how much boost it is running, modded injector pump etc etc

at the wheels? that would be pretty quick, they are 114kw std.
160 at the wheels would take some serious mods, pump, turbo, gas possible internal work as well.
some guys are talking 200kw out of the td42 but they spend 20 grand doing it and often have issus getting it to work well.

I have 130rwkw on 31's with a turbo swap, stock cooler, exhaust and pump tweak, not rebuild.
There are plenty out there with 160rwkw.
I think the laminova thread has a 400000 kw GQ in there somewhere with stock turbo, might have been patrol forum.

Yep x 2, .....although there are a few around now so the "recipe" is pretty much perfected.

Some rough figure from what we see on our dyno.
Turbo no cooler GQ, safe EGT's about 80 rwkW
Add a cooler and the GQ pump maxes about 95 rwkW
GU pumps have different size plungers therefore different power outputs.
About 110-120 rwkW for 11mm plungers, 130-140 rwkW for 13mm plungers.
Fully sick modded pump with big turbo, engine mods, intercooer etc, the most I have seen on our dyno was 197 rwkW

The question then to be asked is - besides a 12/13mm plunger install and fitting a Anaroid, what else can be done to make your injection pump "fully sick"?
.........and i dont expect to get specific with trade secrets but am keen to get more out of my 'modified pump'.

You need boost compensator mods. I have never seen a 13mm head and rotor, I have heard of 14mm units for cummins. It all lies in the matching of all parts fitted to get the most out of it. That also includes pump internals.

gudday Andy
can you explain what the 'boost compensator mods' do - that the Anaroid dosent?
Aaron at Rotorua turbo and diesel has a 13mm head and rotor in his comp truck. He builds alot of the Zexel pumps over here......but would not say what they are out of ha ha.

We play with the internals.
