has anyone ever had encounted this problem oil pressure loss on a hill climb in an xj cherokee to the point the motor was tapping like crazy?

Yep, low oil level will do it for sure, normally noticeable on down hills before uphills though. If it happens on up hills I guess it's lower still!!!

cool people worked out the problem need to modify my sump no baffles in it
