Hey guys,

Just bought a GQ that has a custom 3-link + panhard front end, and need some new bushes for roadworthy (yes it is engineered).. but don't know what the bushes in the front are.. maybe GQ trailing arm?

Pics of one of the good ones,

Anyone know?

At a glance they do look like GQ rear trailing arm bushes

Why don't you drop one of your rear arms and compare measurements?

Rear is custom links with heim joints chassis end and the same bushes diff end.. Im pretty sure they are trailing arm bushes but asked at Nissan and they said that the trailing arm bushes they had were rubber only.. no steel rings :?

I'm a Nissan parts interpreter and a reckon that is a Nissan bush, GQ/GU rear trailing arm bush.

The part number is 5504506J00 from memory.

Cheers Mick.

ok back from my epic senario at nissan..

They ordered in the bushes i get there and they are 2 piece solid rubber bushes (pan hard bushes) I go these are the wrong bushes.. she looks up the part number again and gets the schematic out and goes no they are the right ones..

I twig on and say no these are pan hard bushes they are labeled wrong.. see how the panhard has 2 piece bushes and the trailing arm only has one piece.. she is very stubborn in that they are the right bushes.. out to the carpark and check teh closest gq.. no they arnt the right bushes we will have to order them in for you.. no sorry for wasting your time or anything! or apologizing for the mistake.. or telling me I was wrong when in the end I was right..

:x :x :x :x :x :x

PS this was bayside nissan in frankston.. ill just go to mornington next time..

The part number I mentioned above is an old number. The new numbers are 5504506J00 which retail for about $46 each and theres 5504510J00 which retail for about $21 each. They are both rear control arm bushes but depending on the model which one was for what. The only diference I could see between the bushes was the price. The dearer one is the most common one sold. :?

I don't know what bushes she was looking up for you but you cant genuine panhard bushes for gq/gu they only sell the whole panhard with bushes already pressed in.

Cheers Mick.

No there not there from another panhard that suits the GQ/GUs probably imports. There not listed in nissan Fast so she could not have mistaken the bushes.

I saw the panhard bushes on the schematic she had. 2 piece bush shown going in either side of the panhard ends the number was 55135###

Assuming that is Nissan fast she used to look up the parts.. then they are definitely there..

Cheers,

Craig

Been through this with my Nissan dealer, said they don't exist. Got the numbers off the bushes already in the panhard rod, and wow all of a sudden they exist.

It's not in fast so I don't know what she was looking at. I looked through every model GQ/GU here and overseas and even through the left hand drives ones and there not there.

Heres a break down of the panhard which has been copied from an overseas version of Fast. There is no part number for the panhard bushes on it anywhere. http://nissan4u.com/parts/patrol_gr/er_ ... tration_4/

As you can see in the picture there not even shown as a 2 piece bush. The numbers you would have been looking at where prbably washer and nut not panhard bushes. See the number 20 that is the part number for the whole panhard which come with bushes.

Cheers Mick.

If there not in the catologue then we cant pull the numbers out of our ass. Yes if you can produce a part number for something thats not in the catologue then SOMETIMES you can buy the part but usually because it comes from something else that they will sell seperate. What is the part number by the way?

55135 - 01J01 and 55135 01J10.

I can confirm that the part numbers that chunks quoted are genuine Nissan panhard rod bushes for a GQ that can be purchased separately for approximately $25 each. They are a one piece bush. If you look it up Mick you might find you have them in stock. Not your fault I realise Mick, you can only do what you have available to you

Them and radius arm bushes must be the most common bushes that need replacing on a GQ.

Whatever you do, do not buy poly bushes, genuine bushes are the only good solution for a panhard rod or radius arm.
