Is anyone out there using a Cav or Racor fuel filter assembly? What one is recommended and why? Am looking at putting one on the Defender TD5 shortly. Is there an application guide anywhere (can not locate one on the net) as there are a couple lying around and if one fits will save buying one. Any comments welcome.

at nearly $2000 per injector for a Td5 ...I would only be using genuine fuel filters...

Just make sure you get a 2 micron element for the final filter. There are many good brands of filters around. It has been shown that the use of 2 micron filters dramatically increases injection nozzle life over the more traditional 15 micron elements. I'm not sure what comes stock on a TD5, but this is really applicable to any modern diesel engine.
