Time to replace clutch...

Hi all,

Yeah yeah, i've searched. Can find heaps of info on what clutch to go in and blah blah blah... Just want to get an idea of what I need to take out underneath.

Gotta remove gear levers, pull the bellhousing bolts out, remove shaft between box and transfer...

For people who have had their box out, did you have to move/remove transfer, exhaust or anything else or once everything directly connected to the box is undone is there room enough to slide the sucker out?

Cheers,

Pete

I will propably forget some small details but basically the method is:

1. Drain gbox oil or have a rag ready to shove into output seal
2. Remove gbox knob and boot inside cab, then remove stick
3. Isolate battery and unbolt starter motor (no need to remove, just unbolt and shift forwards away from gbox)
4. Disconnect reverse switches and pollution switches off top of gbox
5. Unbolt and remove gearbox tailshaft and front tailshaft (some people say they can get gbox out with it there, i cant with my setup)
6. Disconnect clutch cable
7. Remove the small cover from bottom of gbox that hides flywheel
8. Unbolt and remove (its easier to remove it) the rear gbox support
9. Remove the four bolts securing gearbox to engine
10. Remove gearbox

Clutch was rooted big time... But so was box. Chucked in the spare box i got when i bought the car... also no good.

Anyone got a decent box they're looking to get rid of?
