hey iv got body lift, suspension lift, 33's, and a tube bar on my fourby. im just wondering is it easier to find a friendly engineer to have a look at my truck and get an engineers cert for it or to go to the DOT and fill out the modifications form and have them look at it to get it certified. cheers

Unless things have changed recently, in Qld a body lift cannot be "certified" by an engineer. It must go over the pits.

Which is why there are so many vehicles doing the rounds without the certificate. I'm pretty sure they will get sick of doing it and palm it off back to vehicle engineers again anyway. When done properly, it's not such a major modification.
