there was a transfer going for about 200 on ebay the other week. Personally i did the part time kit. According to the manual you need to take gearbox out to fit a new transfer but a parttime kit box stays in car. Plus what condition is parttime tranfer in.

Depends how custom you want it Mick.
Part time KIT would be easier.
But if you want something like a PTO drive, then I think you might need a part time BOX.
Then you need to sort out the transfer lever vs the diff lock push button etc.

if you cahnge to a part time transfer case, you will need to swap driveshafts also as the part time case is a different length

just something to add. how do the two transfer cases compare. is the old stick shift stronger? is it more simple? which would be better for alot of 4wding travel?

i would think the part time one would be better because it is just a lever.
the kit requires the centre diff button ??
