Put it on properly and touch nothing till its setup right...Move the waistegate sensing pipe for the turbo to after the intercooler, or you will only be running 9 psi at the motor...1 psi is lost in cooling the charge...this is only 1 way to get extra pressure, adjusting the gate is another, boost controller a third....then when boost is 10 at the motor...tune it..
To tune it yourself, you will need an exhaust gas temp probe in the outlet of the turbo....and some big hills...600 degrees is a maximum you should aim for. dyno can do this too...safari turbo will have a plug in the dump pipe for tuning....it is very important you have a free flow exhaust...if not heat will back up...realise you cant make a silk purce from a sows ear, if you want to go like a petrol, sell the 1hz and buy a petrol, if you want reliable power, dont go any more boost, just tune it to the 600 up hills and it will serve you well for years....1hz's crack heads with too much heat....tuning it in winter will make it hotter in summer up that hill, a larger weight towing will do thesame...... drive it by the exhaust gas temperature gauge and it will be all good :)
