Mine is a 77 .
And with the engine in the way and measuring through and around stuff , I came up with 840mm.
Hope that helps .

Cheers

Ps. WHY ?

Thanks for the reply looking at going back to a range rover and drop in a diesel motor 4cyl as the fatory engine drank the juice.

just got the tape out and the small 6cyl diesel (sd33-t) wont fit so will have to have a think about what type of 4cyl to put in. pitty the 2.5 vm diesel is not much good.

Just can't beat the smooth ride in the rangie's

4bd1-t would be very nice, how much do they go for?

how many 4b** types of engines are there and do they have the same bolt up pattern?

can get an N/A 4BD1 for 2kish, then fit turbo, intercooler etc

I've had, a 302 windsor, then EFI 5L, the twin turbo EFI 5L, then 351 EFI windsor, a 6.2 chev diesel for good measure, a host of rover V8's, including a supercharged 3.9

The Isuzu is rattley, loud and pretty muc stuck with an LT95, if you want it to last, but I can honestly say, Theyare the closest thing to a toyota rover your gonna get

Thanks Cloughy, will have a look for a good body as soon as my bank ballance goes up again, then maybe sell the mq to buy the engine and other bits.
