A narrow rim will help reduce the incidence of popping beads at low pressures.
I ran 34 x 10.5 JT2 on 7 inch rims and had no problem with beads breaking even at 8 psi.
So if they fit I would put them on an 8 inch rim.

definitely 8's, i've run 35 x12.50's and 37 x 12.50's on 8's and they hold bead well. and if you decide down the track to get beadlocks u wont have a silly wide rim.
but why are you buying pedes? do u do mostly mud?

thanks all,
yeah we see a fair bit of mud down here. I run 34" JT2's and the brother runs 36" pedes.

kool, i think you'll find the pedes heaps better then the JT2's, i did the same step but to 35 x10.5 pedes and they were heaps better, last longer on road too.
