Well I finally got em on last week, had to make up some brackets and spacers, just got to get em wired up now (with some other wiring I want to get done). Just need the front locker in and do a few bits and pieces and I'm ready for the Pajero Challenge in March.
It was getting a bit boring in here so I had to post somethin.................

Yep I'll make sure he rings you tomorrow Ed (I promise).
Had a good club trip today (with Baz), some very serious machines there (2 Outback Challenge competitors) but I think Baz and I did ok (well at least we didn't break anything)...........

I was on my own (so was Baz) so I didn't get to take any.
Apparently there is one of my front 5 feet in the air (so he says), so I'll try and get those blokes pics.
Some pisser tracks around Buxton/Marysville area, would be very interesting in the wet 8)

I did forget to mention when you get the locker in we should do a trip up there. Baz and I did all the hard lines and kept up with the big boys but struggled at some points with only one locker each, but it was good fun :)
There was a supercharged swb GQ petrol there, WOW you should've heard that thing........................

Frank those lights are HUGE!!!! They make my big hellas look small. Are they halogen bulbs or Xenon Gas discharge stuff?? How do they go in the dark, or whats left of it after you turn them on :D

Mike, they are halogen globes (100 watt), 240mm diameter housing. I haven't got them wired up yet (next week) but I've been in other rigs with them and their awesome. They also can be adjusted like a magilight torch from a pencil to a spread beam. You just wouldn't believe how strong they are, you can stand fully on them without them breaking. Didn't you see Cheezy's roll over at Tuff Truck ? The best possible advertising for a spotty you will ever see.

I haven't seen any tuff truck footage so i can't comment on them. I remember first seeing the lightforce stuff at a 4x4 show a couple of years back and the fella was telling me how they were better than the hella predator which is a XID but i didn't really beleive him. Do you have protective covers for them? Cause you would not wanna break them. I love my spotties especially for high beaming little hoons in their hondas and the like cause my lights are high enough to go straight thru there back window and burn the back of their heads.

Yeah they came with the clear plastic covers.
I got them on a group buy at a very good price. I like the size, strength and the adjustability feature of them.
But I've seen Cheezy's xenon spotties on at dusk and they are true cranial melting material

Was looking at a set of the big ones for the front of the GU but was told they would block too much air from the radiator and that the car would overheat. Keep an aye on your temp guage just incase.

eeek very good point that on the temperature.

Yeah no probs with that at the moment.
Did a trip yesterday, very dusty (about 28 degrees) with some very steep hillclimbs and the temp gauge didn't move. But I'll be making sure the radiator stays clean though.

If you do get hot you can unscrew the lenses and buy the smaller replacements. Cheaper than replacing the whole spotie. Should work good at the Pajero Challenge.
