Old Man Emu 2" Lift - Opinions Needed!!

Gday,

I got a quote from ARB today re an Old Man Emu 2 inch lift for my 03 IFS Hilux. Ive decided to stick to 31 inch MTZs and just run a 2 inch suspension lift. Heres the specs of the quote:

2 inch OME lift - equating to approx 35mm on the front and 45mm on the back - they said this is the average that i can expect to get from this OME kit - due in large part to the IFS front end.

New Torsion Bars (not sure i need them as i run a standard alloy bar and no winch).

OME Nitrocharger shocks on all corners.

250 kg rated rear leaf springs (i dont carry heavy loads or tow much) and they said that the heavy duty 400 kg leafs would make the rear stick up too much compared to the front.

Steering stabiliser.

All that for $1965 fitted.

I thought that was a pretty good deal. Might drop the torsions off it yet to make it cheaper and upgrade to the Nitrocharger Sports Shocks.

Im just after some opinions on OME lifts and any advice as to anything else i should be looking at.

PS: I also got a quote for a 2 inch EFS lift and it came in at $2200.

Cheers guys. :D

i run the ome lift in my lux,its a 2000 dual cab,as far as comfort and driveability is concerned its great, isnt really high but that doesnt bother me.great on rough roads,i have towed some big loads with no problems.(19ft cruisecraft boat regularly).I still have the original torsion bars as well.

Cheers Craig

Totally differnt rigs i know but i destroyed my OME setup in 50K & now have EFS which i have found to be sooooooo much better off road & for comfort.

Expected life out of EFS i dont know but has 30K on it now & up in the FNQ area the OME is not rated too well... just my 2 cents & fod for thought.
