HI can any one tell me if I can fit a GQ power steering box to a MQ? and if I can is there much involved like changing brackets or will it bolt strait up? and is it a better box than the original MQ one as I have been told that it will work but I need a bit more info on how and why I should do it as I am running 35's and RTC damper.

I have a GQ P/s Box on my MQ. You can use the Back 2 original holes but the front 2 don't line up. We put crush sleeve's in my chassis. The top bolt hole is on the ridge of the chassis so it need's scolloping and plating. I've found that it has more "Lock to Lock" It's a big strong box, the weak point is the sector shaft. I ran beadlocked 37's for years with an MQ box.
I think it's well worth it but I went from MQ to Hydro assist GQ

I put GU power steering box on my MQ (don't have anymore). I wrecked at least 3 MQ pitment arms with 35" Silverstones on flipped rims. I set the box up to run reverse shackle front at the same time and didn't use any factory holes from memory.
The MQ power steering has a really week pitment arm compared to even the manual steering boxes.

Very worth while conversion. All as Wicked said, use 2 holes and make up and weld in crush tubes for the others, Vee out top of rail for one bolt. Can very easily fit up TD pump aswell.
