What ratio diffs do 80 series run?

i am thinking of changing diff housings and want to know what ratio diff 80 series came out with...???

I think you can buy 4.88s aftermarket but as far as i am aware 4.1s were the only option from standard

Do you mean that the 4.5ltr 80series runs 4.3 ratio diffs?

yep, the twin cam 80's have 4.3's

Diesels run 4.11 standard front rear.
You can buy after market 4.88, 5.29's and 6.11's
4.3 is the standard for 4.5 twin cams as stated above.

The front diff's are V6 $ runner high pinions....

The V6 4Runner does not run a high pinion at all.

The only other toyotas to have a similar diff is the bundera front and the HZJ75 front.

i was only aware of cruisers running a HP

im not aware of any hiluxes (in a factory application) running the HP

80 have all 411:1 ...100 and 78 diesel have 4.3:1 as they have a different g/box and t/case to the petrol 100/78/9.

you are right. I was just talking to the dude that I was certain had 4.3's, and they are 4.1's :shock:
