Yep.... they are a bit too easy to self cancel IMHO. Roundabouts catch me out if i'm not carefull - with a manual a spare hand isn't always available.

Still.... other cars don't cancel adequately..... with everything being bigger and better in the states perhaps they don't suffer our challenges.

FFS, what is it with JK owners?......

Pissing and moaning about trivial shit all the time. Had this crap on every forum...

Indicators cancelling early, is it really that big a deal that people have feel they have to post it up?

The JK is a 4WD. A very capable one, it has a very strong full box section chassis, it has solid axles front and rear, it has long travel coil suspension and many design features based on a true 4 wheel drive history.

If you want a nice driving car, but a Pajero, Rav4, Prado or some other soft roader... The JK is never going to drive as good, in any way, as a vehicle designed primarily for road use..

Some of the comments I read are f*ckin rediculous...

A manual makes it harder to use the indicators??
Go back to driving school... you should select the appropriate gear BEFORE the corner or round a bout! then you would have free hand to hold that pesky indicator on...

Don't any of you people test drive these things before you buy?

Grrrrrrrr, Saturday morning rant over..

Old trick with wheel alignments is to remove the steering wheel and slip it around a couple of splines to center the steering wheel. This leaves the steering shaft and the lobes that actuate the indicator off center and can result in one side being a bit more touchy than the other.

One other thing tha can do a similar thing is a decent whack to the steering from a rock bending the drag link, requiring an extra bit of left lock at the steering wheel to compensate. The easy fix is to do as above.

JK has an airbag which puts a stop to that unless the shop is particularly dodgey.

OIIIO .... are you f#@king kidding yourself????????????

the JK is a piece of shit!!!! i know i own one....

a god damn 10 grand piece of shit KIA doesnt have indicator problems!!! so why should i accept a stupid problem like that when ive paid 34 grand????

on top of that ive taken it back 3 times because the f#@king brakes get stuck on everytime i stop at lights... i have to rev the shit out of it to force the brakes to release!!! should i also accept this problem because Jeeps are as you say, very capable 4WD's ????

Another lovely feature of the Jeep is the engine noises you get after 5000kms sounds alot like loose nuts and bolts rattling in a tin can....

do you have shares in jeep or something??? or this anger the only way you can lie to yourself to make yourself feel better about this car????

I CANT BELIEVE you would even suggest that its my fault for not selecting the right gear before hand and then holding the indicator stalk while travelling through the turn..... YOU IDIOT WAKE UP !!!!!! its 2010 mate that is ridiculous!!!!!!

i did test drive it...who wouldnt!!! but it just so happened that i didnt have to go through any round a bouts on the test drive so i didnt know!!!!

Yank cars are crap, thats all there is to it. I own 3, a TJ Jeep, a F150 and a Mustang.
They are built to do a job (sometimes well) and not much else. The japs tend to build a car to do a job, and they finish the package.
Much like the british, you buy it because you want to be different, and you like the quirks, not because it is better.

BTW, my TJ doesn't cancel at all....

Typical JK owner.....

I could answer all of your questions,
I could take offense at your name calling,
I could argue the rediculous points....

But, I couldn't be farked wasting my time..
So sell the JK, buy a Yaris and hang out at the mall with your boyfriends
