Hilux transfer

Are gen 2 and gen 3 Hilux transfers the same .

I have been told that the speedometer drive are different :?

I have a gen 2 hilux and i want to fit Rockhoppers to a gen 3 transfer then replace this with my transfer, do I need to change anything.

They are the same its just the wiering plugs are different on the 4wd light switch.

there are 5 different speedo drives and then the electronic one. basically to compensate for different diff and tyre combos. Just run what you have now.

As long as your case comes from an australian truck you will be right.

Yeah Nick is this a simple way to recalibrate speedo when running bigger tyres, by changing the drive?

Thanks guys, its out of a 91 model 2.8 deisel dual cab

I'll swap over speedo drives when I fit the new one and swap the plugs over aswell :D

it wont matter if u swap the drive wen u run your 35's the speedo wont b right anyway
