I don't want to sound like a hater, but it sounds like you are in over your head.

I assume you have a SWB sierra and you are planning to fit GQ patrol diffs with all of their suspension bracketry (?)

I have seen this done. The builder of the car actually widened the sierra chassis by cutting all the crossmembers out at widening them. He also used a Commodore V6 and patrol transfer case (from memory. the car was built any years ago)

You have a few issues to deal with.

The rear diff is centred. It won't line up very well with your transfer case.

The front suspension on GQ's is a pile of steaming poo. If doesn't flex with a 67tonne GQ on top of it. You'll need to resolve that too or it's all a waste of time.

Those diffs are huge and very heavy. Unless you are planning truly enormous tyres (chopzuki on here ran 44" tyres with his GQ diffs), there's just no advantage in the nissan diffs - you'd be better with strengthened stock diffs, hilux, or MQ/MK patrol diffs, which have the right offset and a much smaller front diff centre- or Range Rover.

One of the big fabrication problems is that the chassis is much narrower on a sierra than on a GQ so the suspension brackets are all in the wrong spot on the axles.

You are in for a lot of work, and at the end of it all I'm not sure you are going to be better off than with a set of doubletough axles and 33's.

You might want to provide more information for some better advice. What size tyre do you want to run? what use? Engineers/reg? what wheelbase?

Steve.

I am doing the same thing. I want to run 36 or 37in tyres and i want mor width cause i keep putting my sierra on its side so i am gonna run MQ diffs. They are cheap as (compared with GQ)and the rear center is offset so it should be a bit easier.

as long as he doesnt get the model/diff with the massive centre(h260)?? i dont see him having a real problem. The only thing dominator...yours being NT is there enough room to move the perch in on the diff without having the problem of hilux front?i have not looked at a mq diff in a while so it mighnt even be the case.Or are you planning on outboarding springs a little or doing away with leafs all together?

Tonka thanks for the advice. i will have to check that before i get to far into it. I was thinking of leaving the leaves in but that could all change now.

If you can make the MQs work easy enough your zuk will be a absolute weapon.
Have you thought of 60 series diffs even?good offset and few gear ratio options aftermarket atleast??
