Just looking at Brake Shoes on Ebay for my cruiser, never bought parts online before, just sussing out recommendations of any sellers/stores that people have had good dealings with in the past on both price & service...
Cheers!

mate although alot of cheap stuff can be found on ebay for your 4x4, brakes are not something you want to go cheap on, especially if your towing a camper or get stuck on a big hill climb. just my own opinion someone may have had a good experience with them.

your best bet is to find someone with a high positive feedback, anyone with a feedback over a thousand has been around for a bit and if they have 98% + positive then they are probably okay to deal with.
Make sure you pay with paypal, doesn't take much time to set up if you don't already have one and it offers a level of protection for you in case the seller does do the wrong thing. Follow these couple of tips and you can shop relatively comfortable.
As for the actual parts they are selling, make sure it's a decent reputable brand that you are buying as there is a lot of rubbish out there and it's the last thing you want to have to worry about when an emergency crops up.

PayPals protection isn't worth the hot air its made of in my experience.
About the only way to meet their timelines is to lodge a complaint immediately when you buy and even then if the supplier is shifty you'll never see your money or goods.
Also there's lots of sub standard imitations of quality parts kicking around - at least with a local supplier you can look it over before you pay.
Sometimes the copies are that obvious..... how hard is it to spell BOSCH ?

I've bought brake parts an various other parts through both 4h an Eastcoast 4wd on ebay with no problems
Both gave great service an no worries with any problems
Would not hesitate to get parts through either one again .

If you can find a 'real' business (ie has a real shop) that sells on eBay as well they are generally OK.
Not sure I'd trust brake pads, but accessories and crap I buy.

x2 eastcoast for good price on good product - the mechanic who i got a kit in for couldnt get a kit for as cheap at trade price and when the kit arrived he said it was better gear than he would have got with his supplier as well.

Just buy Bendix brakes, most good shops sell them.

look for brand names. If there isn't one mentioned guarinteed it will be the bottom of the range 20 dollar pads. Don't forget to factor in the shipping costs, which are normally stated. Then unless you want it delivered to your front door ring some local shops. I've found ebay prices to be the same, if not slightly dearer due to postage than local shop prices.
