Similarities between 4l80-e and 6l80e? (GM auto trans).

Exactly that i guess. Ultimatley i want to know if the box will fit the marks conversion for the Toyota T/C? Out put shaft and extension housing would need to be the same between the boxes. Forget about the length, i'm making a new cross member anyway.

I doubt they would be close at all (but I have never looked into it specifically). 6l80e is too new for conversion kits too.
Holmart has them cheap though.

Marks do the conversion for the patrol with the 6l80e? i just wonder what the differences are, maybe i can make it fit with the 4l80e kit?

I would just stick with the 4L80E as its tried & proven
