hey guys, ive tried searching but i had no luck....

its a 99 gu coil cab st.

i filled my main tank and put 40 odd litres into my sub tank 3 weeks ago and have filled my main tank twice since but my sub tank is still showing the same 40 odd litres..... i have tried disconnecting the wires to the pump, pulling out and checking the fuses, disonnecting the battery for 30 minutes and still doesnt seem to drain into the main tank. when i press the sub tank button the light comes on but its not doing anything else.

so ive put it down to the pump being stuffed. i fortnightly put $10 in the sub tank to keep up the lubrication of the pump.

any ideas?

how much is a new pump and what kind of price should i expect to pay?
any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

I'm not familiar with the GU patrol fuel system but the first thing I would try is to run a jump wire directly from the battery. If it is an in-tank type pump and that doesn't work, remove the pump, connect power to it and tap it lightly with a small hammer, I found that works with petrol cars that have sat for a while.
