GDay all

I have a toyota electric diff lock in the rear diff of my 40. It was working great until the other weekend when we did a particularly long river crossing, now nothing. Have checked all wiring, relays, switch and even changed out the crappy toyota plug at the diff lock with a you beaut militry rated dust and water proof plug. When my brother and i pulled the actuator unit apart found the tiniest amount of corrosion on the terminals, cleaned them up but still nothing. Does any one have information on what else to check, who to go to, etc to get it working again.

If anyone is interested some of the information on the actuator unit is as follows: -

AISIN SEIKI Co

I beleive the serial number to be: 1450600

It also says it is 24V but my BJ42 is a 12V system.

Cheers

Welcome to the world of electric lockers. Id say you got them out of a wrecked 80 series. I cant say exactly whats wrong with yours. But they just stop working due to old age. Have heard of a few that just stop working now.
