Can anyone tell me how good or bad these are?
Getting to the point of wanting a ute again, dual cab, and the straight diesel nav's are in my price range.
Are they just completely sucky?
Want something half decent though most offroading will be beach for fishing

Hi bud.
i have never owned one but have worked on a few, as far as i know from that they almost compair to a clapped out 2.8 non turbo hilux diesel, in saying that they do chug along and rarely give up..
cheers mark.

the "efi" version of the 3.2 has a bit of a weak injection pump. i think its the same as the 2.8 patrol injection pump.
otherwise its a 3.2 atmo diesel. however they do run a strong driveline, with the h223 rear diff. the later more powerfull 3 litre turbo motors (110kw) run the smaller c200 dif.
go nicely turbo'ed or shove the terrano turbo version 3.2 in (115kw).

The QD32 is a great motor, they will kill a 3L powered Hilux.
They are a updated version of the TD series motor. Designed and built by Nissan Diesel, not Nissan.

fantastic , ifs is a bit limiting however most utes are like that anyway.. very slow but will go all day every day. frequently see many 550 k plus ones still coming in for service work and thats about all that ever gets done to them. top ute if its what your after
