Do it yourself.
If IFS, then wind up torsion bars, BJ spacers, raised springs for the rear.
Theres lots you can do.
Do a search on the subject, theres heaps of info on here.

Snake have never been terribly competitive in prices in my opinion.

It all depends on what you want mate. You can put a lift in your lux which will give you enough room to clear 33"s with offcuts of timber - I highly recommend against this, but merely pointing out the fact that there are plenty of options available to you.

1. Body lift
Pros:
cheap
quick
easy
cons:
effort to get mod plated (assuming you're in QLD)
doesn't increase offroad performance (e.g. flex)

2. Suspension lift (Torsion bar wind + ext shackles or similar)
Pros
will increase offroad performance
requires minimal effort to be roadworthy (except ext shackles in QLD)
Cons:
big $$$

3. Other options
e.g. coils all round - another entire kettle of fish

Have a look around mate, this gets covered a fair bit :)

I thought that winding the torsion bar ect would increase excessive wear on all other components in ifs and drive line. I would prefer to do this so I can spend more on other important stuff like lockkas ect
