i recently fitted the superior long long leaf and drop shackle setup in the lux. got them to fit it due to me cant welding and getting it all engineered and wat not. i wanna run 37's but they dont fit on being a dual cab. now they left the diff in the same place so its still legal. anyway can i re drill the rear perches like the front the gain clearance?? has anyone done this pics have 31's on them

this is what did mate pretty drastic but thats just one of many ideas im sure you could just redrill the perches but you would probably only gain an inch or so and you would have to extend the tail shaft or run a spacer

That is funny shit alright
Mate you have to move the front mount back to get the diff to move back. Move it back to were you have worked out that your tires wont hit the cab. Then position the rear hangers mounts to suit the way your drop shackles work.
You will have to get a longer drive shaft, hand brake cable(or run a tcase handbrake),move your portion valve back and extend the hard brake lines to suit.
Also change the flexy brake line off the fuel tank bracket to the diff.
Best of luck.

i know thats wat i have to do to push the diff back but i dont wanna have to take all the mounts off again. i didn't ask to take the piss out of me all i was wondering is can u re drill the spring perches??? it only has to go back a fraction to fit them

on the rear i used the standard front spring mount and moved the rear spring mount back to the end of the chassis. fit 37s easy.

whats your wheelbase like but?
when i put my locktup rear leafs in i had a 131'' wheelbase and when i moved the front mount forwards it dropped to 126'' and it still needs to go further forwards another 5-6'' when i get around to it.
ideally isnt your wheelbase meant to be around 110-115''?

I wasn't taking the piss out of you.I did find your thread funny tho.You cant run 37's with your current set up unless you chop the rear of your cab.Redrilling your perchs will give you 30mm.Which I wouldn't think would be enough to run 37's.I moved mine back 3" to make sure I had room to run 35's and a front rubber mud flap(against the rear of the cab,I drive alot of dirt stony roads). If you can run 37's without moving your front rear hangers back and not cutting the cab I would like to see the pics.
Rocklux.Thats a nice looking dual cab.

I thought it was funny because you think that suspension set up is legal.

I find it funny that he wants run 37's and keep it legal. Then make them fit without modifieing anything??
What are you going to do to the front end to make them fit???

yeah i know none of this is legal obviously just thought i could get around having to cut the hangers back off but im just gonna push it all back 3" and one piece the tail shaft and all that etc.. the front has ruf and the diff has been pushed foward a bit more with the redrilled perches so they'll fit in. i got pulled ova for driving it last week and have to show the coppa in 1 month everything fixed. Ext shackles, inverted shocks, bodylift etc... so its all gotta go back to standard for that then its just gonna be a play car. alot of stuffing round
but s#$t happens ha

I did a job for Bondy on his dual cab using TG springs & moved his diff back to give better clearance for bigger rubber & to make it look more in proportion.
Used factory front bracket, welded on new rear hanger (think it was about 6" back from factory hanger). Made custom brake bias diff bracket which mounted in front of the diff & higher instaed of behind. Raised & moved handbrake diff mount but Bondy had to get a longer handbrake cable & extend driveshaft. Think that worked out to moving the diff back 3-4" can't remember now.

thanks for the info brooksy. do you know if the locktup leafs are the same length as the drop shackle superior leafs? thought they were a little longer is all. im gonna try to go off the original mount hopefully there is enough room to push the shackle mount back that much. my car is at my bros place so havent been able to have a look at the wheel base or anythin, im gonna be looking during the week.

The locktup rear springs will move your diff back around 7" when conected to standard front rear mounts.
Maybe you should learn how to weld.
How do you expect to tell the cops that nothing has been changed when the original mounts are still on chassis?
