Hey all I am fitting hilux diffs and ecotec to my Holden drover. I was wondering after reading a few threads wether or not to use the origional tcase with reduction gears or fit a rover t case. If going with the rover tcase how do I go about fitting the up and wat model landrover do I take it off as most of them I have seen r a bolt on unit to the back of the g box. May be a silly question but a bit of info would be great

Silly question alright!
I think you'd be better off asking in the rover section for the transfer.
Is this thing going to be street legal?

it will be street registered lol plenty of ways around that but street legal thats another thing. she will just be a trailer whore just want rego on it so it is able to get into some 4x4 parks that require registration. with the conversion i am doing im using 4speed auto if that helps any one

You'll need a T700 to rover transfer case adapter.
There's no point converting the Rover case to divorced mount and then using a jackshaft between it and the T700 auto - it will end up long and messy.
How are you going to deal with the offset rear driveshaft? Surely landcruiser (or rover) diffs would be a better choice, or a hilux case with reduction gears .
You'll want a transfer case from an early range rover discovery of 110 land rover (I think it's the LT230) if you persist with the Rover case.

It would be a lot simpler if you use a lux transfer , adapters are hard to come by for the rover case, front shaft is extremely close to the 700 pan.
lux is strong enough and probly half the weight and will line up with your lux diffs.

Might as well just put a sierra body on a different, read stronger, chassis while you're there.

Where can you get the Vit to Lux adpators without taking out a loan the size of the house!

X2
why put your rear shaft on a angle when such a simple solution as running the lux transfer exists.

Well maybe I might just use a hilux transfer lol. I have one of them in the doner car I'm using. The hilux is a 1980 model so is a 4 speed box is the reduction diferent in this case.

The LT230 case is a fairly weighty unit as well. Not sure how well it would even fit under a sierra.
