Did the shop give there thought of why it is happening. Buy a piro so you know for yourself.

My truck used to run between 620 and 650 even after all the mods. 650 was my limit for most things.

I have a pyro mounted in the exhaust manifold (pre turbo) and under load, say going up a decent hill on the highway it can climb up to 650. With the sierra on the trailer behind it will get up to 700. That is with N/A pump (wound right out), 13psi and a dyno tune. AFIK 650 is fine, but i would invest in a pyro. good insurance.

650 is fine for a pre turbo reading a little on the warm side if it is a post turbo reading.
