just purchased a arb bar for my swb 94 sierra.
I have a 2" body lift, and the bar has been modded for a 2" lift.
Does anyone have any pics of the mounting points?

94 zook, 2" body lift, 30.5" bfg muddies, custom bar, warn 8000, 240 XGT's, extractors and 2" exhaust.
Hey Andy, the end of the sierra chassis is 50 x 100 box or something close. The mounts were 4 holes drilled into the end of the chassis rail about 10mm in from the end. two bolts on each side straight through. The mounts on the bar used to fit half inside the rail and half outside if I recall correctly. I used crush tube inside the rail to make sure I could tighten up the mounting bolts sufficiently and give it a bit of extra strength.

right get it now or maybe be easier and safer to mod the bar if the chassis has been cut or modified as you don't want to keep modding the chassis as they aren't the strongest to begin with.

I think everyone now understands what the problem is. Can you post some photographs of your chassis before you modify it or the bar any more. It might be worth posting some pics of the back of the bar too.
Reason being - there's very little material to put back into the front of the chassis. The stock holes at the chassis end aren't strong enough for winching, which is why I recall Dank saying his bar was modified to add strength by picking up the front crossmember too.
The ARB can't be used for winching once the original bumper brackets have been removed, and these have always been removed to fit larger tyres.

I will organise to get some new points welded onto my chassis as I have a winch to put into it.
I will post some pics of the actual bar, as I am intrigued about these bumper brackets that are removed.
I will get this bar strengthened through using some brackets as outriggers.
