Hey guys I was wondering if tapping a T piece of the vacum pump on the back of the alternator oil line 1994 4.2 Diesel is ok. It will be easier than using the gromet hole in between the engine mount.

It is easy :D with a 3 way t piece screwed into the block. Is there a down side with oil pressure from the vacum pump oil gallery.

Another reason why it is easier is the angles I have to run the hose at interfering with my air intake. If I run it from the grub screw I have to run the braided up past the manifold then down into the turbo.

It actually works out a lot better for me and what I am doing.

Thanks mate that is what I wanted to know. How long have you been running your turbo for. I really cannot see any difference but just wanted to make sure. Will make it a lot easier for me. :D

That feed line is only pulse fed from the cam bearing,on a ball bearing it will be fine but if you fit a sleeve bearing turbo you should use the one that is in the middle of the engine mount.

That is great news. Being a Garrett using the vac pump oil feed I am using is perfect and the other oil feed near the engine mount would need a oil pressure reducer for sure. Win Win for me. :D Thanks.

Works pretty well.

No you don't always have to. Some turbos (eg. schwitzer)can handle the volume, others can't (eg.air research).

Read the question.....for Garrett you definitely do!, if in doubt read the install info on their web page.
