just a few questions i have a trimatic from a holden 202 with a vitara transfer attached locked in low range with adaptor for sierra transfer to make dual transfer etc
what i want to know is
1. what is the low range ratio in a vitara transfer
2. are the bell housings interchangable from the holden trimatic to the vitara trimatic ie will i be able to bolt a vitara motor onto the trimatc with just changing the bell houseing.
3. what else bolts up to a trimatic with out an adaptor ( dont suggest holden v8"s i want light wieght small but grunty ).
cheers

1.186:1 gee thats crap isnt it!
so is high range 1-1 ??
how do they commonly run 5.29's with out screaming there heads off?

The unit i got come from a comp truck called slinky if any one knows it now i brought it in pieces just for the parts i wanted and moved on what i didnt want i may have to open it up to see if it had crawler gears added i daubt it though as it had a sierra transfer attached

so if the vitara low range is 1.186-1 and a standed sierra low range is around 2.2-1 then bolted together, do i add the 1.186 + 2.2 giving say 3.386 low range
or ?[/quote]
