3rz into 4runner conversion need info on engine mounts

hey guys in the prosses of the conversion insted of the old 22r motor as for fitting im up to dropping the motor in how long does the plate have to be does anyone have dimensions and were to drill the wholes an what not

Carefully grind the existing mounts off, bolt them up and when you drop the motor in, bolt up the gearbox to make sue it all lines up right. Tack your mounts in place, then unbolt gearbox, lift out motor and fully weld, then there is no error in lining everything up.

I think he wants to do it without welding....
Just line it up when the engine is in.. Wouldn't that be better than trusting someone elses dimensions?

You're supposed to make entirely new engine mounts. Not reuse the old ones with a piece of plate to move it forward/back.
It won't be able to take the forces too well, especially while offroading.
If I were you, you dont sound too confident so I'd take it to a workshop and get them to do just the engine mounts for you, professionally. Shouldn't cost TOO much (maybe $500? at a guess for both) and then you can finish off the wireing etc.

im confident in doing my own stuff buddy im not gunna watse my money on the mechanic shops

Hey mudrunner, just sent you a PM regarding the dimensions of the plates I used. As mentioned in the PM, mine was engineered without a problem by using a 10mm thick plate welded to the engine mount to allow for the offset of the new mounting position, then bolting it to the chassis mounts.
