Handbrake shake GQ

When the GQ was newer the handbrake was nice and smooth and could be pulled on when still moving.
Now it shakes the car if you pull it on when moving. Not sure what started it doig this.
Had the drum machined and checked out the guts of it and cant see anything out of the ordinary.

Only thing I can think of is adjustment of the shoes - but I dont want them dragging.

Any ideas?

Haven't tried doing handrakies in mine lately but mine does grab hard if not at a complete stop. I think it may have play in a bush or 2 and a bit of backlash causing a sudden lock of the shoes. So it's either on or off, doesn't bother me really, just as long as it works! You can probably buy reco kits from nissan for them if it were a real concern. I have heard of the handbrake failing altogether which would be scary. After hearing that I make sure it's in gear when parked now.

Mine's started doing the same, I'd adjusted the handbrake a little tighter for a rwc and I had to adjust them to drag a bit when disengaged. Mine shakes more on idle when stopped.
I'm just planning on winding the adjustment back a bit on the handbrake and then if that doesn't fix it, checking the engine mounts.

Hmmm.
My handbrake works like a ripper and can hold the car on any hill.
Mounts on engine and g/box are all good - just did an engine / box change, but kept the same transfer
I cant see any wear, hot spots or crap stuck in anywhere - it looks as new. No play or wear or unusual movement.

Only thing that has happened is the fitment of Rockhopper gears - surely this couldnt be causing it to shake?
