GU RD28 Turbo Upgrade??

Has anybody upgraded there turbo on a 2.8l?? If so what type?? Without doing engine change, whats the best thing to do for a power increase? Im happy with the engines performance just would like a little more The lag is a big problem with the standard turbo. Please help guys.

I have heard of people putting a 3.0L turbo on.
all or most of the GU 2.8 are electric so you can buy a chip for them and put a good exhaust on too helps

On my GQ rd28 i increased the exhaust and air intake size and replaced airbox with a larger donaldson, also a good tune with a little more fuel will help. Ive replaced standard turbo on mine but its a gt2560 which gave it more mid and top end power, so you probly want something slightly smaller for earlier spool. On 31s it makes about 126HP @ wheels and i think bit under 700 foot pound of torque.
