hey people,
i have a 1999 Hilux, my old alternator shat itself. i have a new one, but while i was taking the old one off i broke the black plastic plug with the three wires coming out the back of it. so i need a new one, i went to toyota to order one and they said i cant buy them seprate. i have to buy a hole new engine wiring loom, which costs $580.
so my question is, does anyone know where i can get one for cheap in Australia?
heres a picture of the plug:

have you tryed ringing aroung the wreakers for a half shat harness i had the same problem but i took the more expensive but better in the long run option and upgraded to a 120 amp bosch universal item, i think you would be very luck to find a auto sparky to carry them as i searched an ashdowns catolog and couldnt find a match and they supply a lot of auto sparkys.

Many of the denso Alts run that plug, in a pinch buy a round to oval adapter and cut the end you don't need off.
Ashdowns, PJL, all the auto elec w/salers will have them.

the wreckers here are very werid, they dont let anyone go into there yard.
i rang em up once chassing a part for a VS commo with a mate, was all good told us to come to the yard and dig around. drove there, gates were closed, banged the horn a little and no one to be seening. rang of my mobile and no answer.
also another mates had the same problem.
