3rz Factory Computer Pin-Outs

Hi guys,
I'm currently doing a 3RZ conversion into my surf and am looking for a diagram of the factory pin-outs for the standard computer.
I will be running an EMS stinger to power it and have a complete loom on the motor right back to the factory computer plugs and am chasing a diagram to show me whats what.
there are 4 plugs and it appears that all the wires are individually colour coded. (ie. no 2 wires the same)

If someone has a diagram that would be awesome.
Cheers.

Not sure on all 4 plugs, but what I did with mine just out of curiosity ( I was sticking with stock ecu) was open up the ecu case and on the circuit board it says what each pin input it. Some may be hard to work out what they are but if you google the difficult ones you'll soon find out what it is. This will only help with the stock ecu plugs though, as for any others, sorry but cannot help!

Hope this helps,
Simon

thats what i'm after. what the stock plugs are so that i can butcher them to hook up to the EMS. trouble is i don't have a standard ECU, only the loom.
Might have to hit up the wrecker i bought it from and see if they'll be kind enough to let me open it up and take a look.

Id use the loom that came with the ems and re do the wiring you dont need about 867.5 wires that are in that stock loom, neat, know what your dealing with if there is a problem etc etc etc etc.

In my page in the above link it explains wiring the coils/ignitors, you don't need an ignition module as 3rz coils have internal ignitors.

i was going to use the stock loom cause its already neat on the motor and i bought the EMS second hand so the loom that came with it has already been chopped for the previous car and is a bit short. makes it easier to use the factory loom back to the firewall then EMS loom into the computer.

I've had a good look around Toy Mods and found a pin out diagram but is not even close to the 1 i have and everything i seem to have found doesn't match :?

Dont worry about the pinouts to much, just cross check the wire colors and find the other end of the wire, work out which sensor plug it is and then its narrowed right down.

all the stuff you would want to use should be the same, you can work everything out with a multimeter thats what i did but takes heaps longer than just soldering the right ones together.

air and water temp are reverse polarity so it doesn't matter, and the powered sensors straight foward, 5v, signal & ground.

Loom wise either or, upto you both ways will work, i just redid mine so i didnt have 8000metres of sticky wiring loom tape to take off if there was a problem or whatever goes on with electronics.

haha, yeah i know what you mean about the 8000m of sticky wiring
i hate that stuff! pulled the old diesel wiring that was buried beneath about 10 feet of oil & crud from over the years and pulled what was needed from that.

Test fitted the motor last night and from everything that i have read / been told the motor had to move back about 30mm but when i put the motor in there was almost 4" gap between the back of the motor and the bellhousing!! :bad-words:

mount it as close to the firewall as you can, or you run into clearance issues for clutch fan, and mount it low enough to the p/s pump doesn't hit the bonnet :P.

do it the easy, smart way, bolt the engine and box together on the floor, grind the chassis engine mountsoff, clean the area. bolt them to the engine, then slot the whole lot in, bolt the gearbox upto the gearbox xmember and weld the mounts in were they touch down on the frame.

yeah thats the way its going to have to be done as the gap that currently exists is miles to big!!

And also just read something on the toymods site about need a 38mm spacer? whats that about? i'm using a 2TR bellhousing and its the same length as the diesel 1 i pulled off?

What is wrong with running the stock 3RZ 2wd bellhousing?? That's what most of the 3RZ conversions use. Bolt straight to a G52 gearbox. No drama's then.

maybe using it to mount it to a R series box?

Yeah guys i'm running the standard R150f 'box behind it.
Its going in a surf not into a 'lux like most other conversions.

Got really really sick of the diesel and its shenanigans and thought it was about time i could do 100km/h on the highway
