toyota radius arms?

are ther any differences in toyota radius arms.
i have the measurements for an 80 one.
looking at using it in a GQ diff conversion on my hilux as i am not happy with the GQ pin attachment at the chassis end.
are the 70/bundy/live axle 100 different in any way?
Are there other options i havent thought of that have the pivot type bush at the chassis end?
the 80 looks good but wondering if there is something that wraps the axle more?
any help appreciated..

have a look at rover (defender/range rover and disco) radius arms as well.....they may work for you

with regards to how much it wraps the axle case....its more about the seperation between the 2 bushes at the axle end....the more seperation the more rotational resistance...but the less flex.... arm length also plays a roll. I believe that the nissan has the biggest bushes at axle end but looses out due to large bush seperation????(never looked closely at nissan or toy) the Disco 2 has a bush/pin 90degrees to arm at chassis but still flexes well...its bushes are bigger than the original RA used on rovers (note there are 2 types of original: early and late...the early arms are narrower than the late by about 5mm and have read they flex better than the later type...)

i thought they were pin type at the end also(same as GQ)
or was i misinformed?
never actually felt the need to look under a rover...lol

sorry mate... im a bit confused(very easy to do)
can you explain what you do want and why (at the chassis end)
all rovers ecept disco series2 are a pin which is in the same direction or line as the RA. the disco series 2 has a pin/bush at right angles to the arm at chassis end
why do you not want the pin type?

Rover arms will provide more flex than Japanese arms.

the pin type(GQ) i have in there now (semi installed) dont seem to flex well at all.
the 80 series (eye type) seem to flex better in the front than the GQs so i want to look at putting these type arms in instead of the GQ ones.
I will be running coilovers so want to maximise flex whilst still having good road manners( staying away from 5 link front etc)
Hope that made some sense..

i assume that the more angled one is the front?
what is the bolt to bolt on them does anyone know?

The mount on the chassis side dont reduce your flex!

Nissan front axles are useless for flex because the bolt to bolt distance is way to big.

Front one is more bent - the steering link runs under it.
Bolt to bolt is 185mm on D2 arms, and 165mm on Rover classic arms.

disco 2 seem to be the go.
the eye to eye at axle end is similar to the 80 ones i was considering but not as close as disco 1/rangie arms whilst also having quite a bit more length in them overall.
having the eye type bush at the rear was mainy for ease of mounting to chassis as i am having dramas with the GQ ones i am currently running without making the mount HUGE

The bolt measurement is just one factor. Also compare the bushes.

if it were me, id look at running early type range rover arms with Haultech slotted bushes at the axle end. This will give you the best RA flex youll get with an OEM arm and still be respectable on the road.

what grade of steel would you need?
would like to use something factory if i can.

measured a set of 79 series arms today.
Yep saw one parked a measured it...lol
they are about same from rear eye to chassis bush
but are about 190mm from eye to eye on the diff end.
might be a happy compromise as i think the disco 2 arms will interfere with the gearbox crossmember (mounting to chassis)
