What gearbox is in a hilux fitted with a 1kz motor?
looking at putting one in instaed of the injected v8 i have done up for my current project.
i have the r151 box now will it go behind the 1kz or should i just get a motor box combo and sell off what i have now.
are the transfer cases chain or geardrive in the 1 KZ hiluxes?

Think your right (R151) and chain drive transfer.
Either that or R150. Only difference is 1st gear ratios - R151 is 4.31 and R150 is 3.83.
