replaced governer seal now wont rev

replaced the governor seal on 4.2 td simple take the top off and put it back on only took the fuel screw out to put the top back on. car idles fine just when you push the accelerator nothing happens. anyone had the same problem??

Sounds like the spring from the governor shaft inside the pump has fallen off. If so, thats not good as there is a tiny spring and pin thing that is probably sitting in the bottom of the pump about now! Take the cover back off and have a look.

maybe you need to wind the fuel screw back in
