So I'm up for tyres, i'll get something grippy, chunky. i've had BFG & WRANGLERS. so i got at the most 30,000 kms at most out of both brands. I'm after more kilometres as its a daily driver. what would you recomend what have you run thats got a decent road life.

I'm quite happy with my MTZs. So far, 30000km (33x12.5x15 on a GQ LWB). They have excellent directional stability on road and gravel and they are holding up really well; excellent grip on road, especially in the wet. Good performance on rock, haven't driven them in deep mud too much.
I had two sets of Cooper STTs before and they just fell apart (cracks in the carcass). The last set was down to 5mm after 30000km.

Hope that helps

had a set of 33x12.5 cooper stt on my gu they had 45,000 on them when i sold the car with plenty of tread left (probably 10-12mm) was happy with them apart from that the edges of the tread rounded off quite alot which made them lose there 'bite' in the mud.
also had a set of st coopers which seemed to hardly wear at all and they wernt to bad in the mud for an a/t
