So yea as title say's, i'm after pics of what you guys have done and are currently running sucessfully. Because i gave mine a serious pizzling last weekend and as a result came home with dints in my punkin's. I no you can buy kits and stuff, but i'm a boilermaker and really only need a few pic's of good set ups so i can fabricate my own.
All feed back appreciated. Cheers

Even tho you can make it yourself, just get the kit from Superior, I was going to build my own (Had templates made and all) Superior's was done, easy and ALOT Neater than I was going to make it too ;)

Steam pipe end cap.

Half for the front and half for the back. Just cut to profile accordingly and weld it straight to the diff housing.
Just remember to cut a decent size half moon shape out of the bottom where it weld to the diff so you can clean the mud out.

cheers smitty :D

when you can buy the superior kit with a diff guard for $220 why would you bother mucking around? You can also just get the bracing for $90 if you want to make your own guard.

A friend of mine chopped the bottom off a gas bottle (empty obviously), cut it in half top to bottom and welded them onto his housing back to back. I reckon his diff could take a .50cal round and survive.

I did this, more or less, in 2003. It is a 10" HD pipe cap, 1/2" thick. I have kit a rock the sive of a small car at 5000rpm in third low hard enough to dry bog all 4 wheels.

I split the cap in half, trimmed 30mm of the back and put a full bevel on the inside ende to clear the radius on the diff pupkin. I plated the top in with 3mm plate to seal the cap, no drain holes. Both front and rear are capped on my ute.
