Question for Rodney @ Wholesale Automatic Transmissions.

Hi Rodney it's Andrew here. (I work with Greg @ D&F racing in Carrum Downs)
I've got a question about cooling for GQ auto's. In your experience you say that cooling the auto trans fluid is one of the most important things to do. When fitting an auxialliary cooler at the front do you still use the auto coolers fitted in the radiator? If so. Doesn't the cooler on the hot side of the radiator acually heat up the oil and then defeat the purpose of cooling it in the 1st place?
When my GQ auto had to be rebuilt (before I knew you guys existed unfortunately) I had an external front mount trans cooler fitted but the auto trans place also recommended using both radiator trans coolers as well.
I guess I'm a bit confused with using the hot side of the radiator with an auto trans cooler.
Regards Andrew.
ps: Jack in the Nissan club is really happy with his auto you guys rebuilt earlier in the year and he's going to keep a close eye on the auto temps while towing his van to Qld now that you've fitted the temp guage for him.
