SHOULD I DRAIN THE FUEL TANK?????

I have been sick for 8 months now and have not been able to drive the td42 at all....i have been running it at times though, was wondering if the fuel would be ok, or should i dump it ?

yeah bro i would same drop it out to be on the safe side.
condensation would hav built up in there and introduced water into ur fuel

There is a marine additive you can add to your fuel to give it longivity when it sits for a long period of time. Does not help now but for future reference.

It should be fine, just top it up with good diesel.

personally i would drain it you dont know what might have got in there somehow but even if you dont it still should be fine

fill it up to the top with fresh stuff fill up again at half a tank and when you fill up again after that change your fuel filter (its probly over due any way)
why waste diesel you paid for it doesnt go off over time
