Hey just a quick question about lpg tanks, i recently bought another patrol to get parts from, it had a 110litre tank underneath which i have removed to fit to mine, the tanks out of date so got to be tested but its half full of gas.

Is it possible to connect the fill line off my good tank to the service valve on the old tank and empty it?

Yeah thats possible, you will just need the right connector and then somehow create a negative pressure in the tank you want it to go to. Via a pump maybe.

If you dont have this then it might not even be worth it. half a tank of gas is $30 it probably wont be worth it.

I would just leave the gas in there, when you get it looked at they probably wont even need it to be empty.

I wouldnt bother but you can you need the full tank to be warm and upside down. keep the empty tank cool, and join them together.

Yeah I wouldnt bother either.

Having gas in it isn't a problem when getting it certified.

In any case to make sure it is working properly (ie shut off/pressure release) a tester must put some gas in the tank.
